Jameson Lucky Barrel

Over my time at Kerve I’ve undertaken work on several projects for Jameson Whiskey, but Lucky Barrel was one of my favourites. Designed to run on Jameson’s Facebook page, this competition web app invited users to pick up to 3 barrels a day in the vast Jameson cellar. Each barrel would give the user a chance to win some great Jameson prizes. And, to encourage sharing, if you invited a friend and they won, then you’d win too!

Each day that the promotion ran, thousands of barrels were claimed by users, loads of players shared the competition with their friends, and loads of prizes were given away. It was a very simple but effective concept.

As always, I completed all front end development on the project, integrating with our bespoke API for real-time data updates as people browsed and used the app.
